M&M Roses - How to care for your Roses From Israel when they arrive.

How do I care for my "Roses From Israel"?

IT'S EASY!

If you have ordered roses for distribution to others, please see the instructions at bulk orders.

Your roses are custom packed for you, and shipped with ice around their stems. They will however, have been out of water for a number of hours. A bubble of air which forms in the cut ends of the stems during transport retards further uptake of water. In order to enable the roses to resume uptake of water you must cut about 1 - 1.5" off the stem to remove this bubble of air. The roses are more than 1" longer than you have ordered so you get the full length you ordered after making a fresh cut.
You will need good, sharp pruning shears or a sharp knife to cut about 1 " off the stems of the flowers. This will only take a few minutes.

remove the roses from the carton
cut an inch off the stems
Remove the leaves from the bottom of the stems so no leaves will be under water in the vase.
We will provide you with a packet of "Spring" rose food for each dozen roses you receive. Dissolve the entire packet in 2 cups of HOT water. Use this water for your roses. No further dilution or mixing is necessary.

Keep the roses in a cool place. Roses should never be left in direct sunlight or in a very warm place.

If you are using floral sponge, be sure to submerge it in water treated with rose food. Check the level of the water in your vases daily, to ensure the longevity of your flowers. The water in the vase should remain clear. If that is the case, re-cut the stems and add fresh clear water to keep the stems immersed in about 3" of water. If the water should look cloudy, discard it, re-cut the stems and put them in fresh, clean warm water.

We ship the flowers in a bud stage. They are beautiful as buds, and will open fully within a few days, showing their beautiful color and shape.
